Biography
Lia Cooper is a Rhode Island author whose work centers on family dynamics, unresolved trauma, and the enduring consequences of love and loss. Her debut novel, Ripples, follows a woman forced to confront her past when she returns home after the death of her estranged father. With a focus on emotional realism and psychological depth, Cooper’s writing explores how silence, memory, and belonging shape identity. She is currently completing a companion novel, The Before, and is a member of the Association of Rhode Island Authors.
