Biography
Steven R. Porter is the author of three independently published books — the crime thriller “Confessions of the Meek & the Valiant”, the award-winning historical novel “Manisses” based on the history and legends of Block Island, and a non-fiction memoir about overcoming panic and fear titled, “Scared to Death… Do it Anyway.”
He is the founder and president of the Association of Rhode Island Authors which has grown in just five years to include over 290 members.
He and his wife Dawn recently opened a new independent bookstore, Stillwater Books in Pawtucket, RI, where they also publish books for local writers as Stillwater River Publications.
