Steven R. Porter is the author of three independently published books — the crime thriller “Confessions of the Meek & the Valiant”, the award-winning historical novel “Manisses” based on the history and legends of Block Island, and a non-fiction memoir about overcoming panic and fear titled, “Scared to Death… Do it Anyway.”
He is the founder and former-president of the Association of Rhode Island Authors which has grown to include over 290 members.
He and his wife Dawn opened a new independent bookstore, Stillwater Books in West Warwick, RI, where they also publish books for local writers as Stillwater River Publications.
