Theresa Schimmel
Biography
Theresa Schimmel is the author of four published children’s books: The Carousel Adventure, Sunny, The Circus Song, and David’s War/David’s Peace. Her short stories and poems have been featured and won awards in literary magazines and newspaper. She is also the author of Braided Secrets, her debut adult/young adult novel. She is a member of the Association of Rhode Island Authors.
After twenty-six years of classroom teaching experience, she worked as an early childhood educational consultant at the state and national level. Now, she enjoys spending most of her free time writing. Married with two adult sons and two grandchildren, she resides in Rhode Island with her husband, Steve.
