Rod is a 20+ year US Navy Veteran and former Commanding Officer of USS UNDERWOOD (FFG 36), during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). After retiring from the Navy, Rod served as the Commissioner of the Boston Fire Department, Senior Director of Business Development for an energy service company and Vice President of Sales for a major defense contractor.  Rod is a co-star of E! TV reality program “Meet the Frasers” along with son Matthew, Daughter in Law Alexa, daughter Maria and wife Angela. 

Rod is an avid historian and is a member of the Mayflower Society, Order of First Families of Rhode Island, Society of Colonial Wars, Society of the Cincinnati, Sons of the American Revolution and the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.

Rod and Angela live in Cranston.
