Michelle Gomes
Biography
Michelle Gomes is a Literacy Specialist helping parents homeschool their children by offering diverse and inclusive educational products so that they can help their children to read. She is a loving mother, Registered Nurse, children’s book author, and an advocate for closing the reading gap among children. She is also the author of “Orsa and the Three Brothers: A Retelling of Goldilocks and the Three Bears” book, the “Orsa and the Three Bears” companion workbook, and “Space Venture.”
In 2019 she was inspired to start writing again because she recognized a need for educational children’s books that her children, and other African-American children, could see themselves in. She hopes her books help children develop a love of reading and learning.
Michelle has a B.A. in Criminal Justice from Temple University and a B.S. in Nursing from Salve Regina University. She currently lives in Rhode Island, where she enjoys the beaches, fresh seafood, and spending time with her three children, family, and friends.
