Lynne Heinzmann is the award-winning author of Frozen Voices (New Rivers Press, 2016), a historical novel chronicling the lives of four passengers aboard the doomed Steamship Larchmont, which sank off the Rhode Island coast in 1907. Her second book, The Curious Childhood of Wanton Chase (Woodhall Press, 2019), tells the stories of Wanton Chase, who lived in Newport’s Rose Island Lighthouse from 1910 to 1916. Lynne’s third book, The Island Adventures of Paul Stedman (Woodhall Press, 2021) is the second book of her Lighthouse Series and focuses on a boy who lived on Rose Island in the 1930s. Both Lighthouse books are full of delightful stories, interesting histories, and full-color illustrations and photos–picture books for both grown-ups and children alike. But Cats Don’t Talk (Woodhall Press, 2023), Lynne’s fourth book, is a YA Novel about Becca O’Sullivan a spunky professional pianist with problems, including a snarky talking cat. Lynne is an author, book coach, editor, and lecturer who lives with her family in beautiful Rhode Island.
