Lori Michelle Hawks has loved writing ever since she began drawing in Crayon on the walls above her crib. Her childhood was spent enjoying classic texts such as Word Bird and Sweet Valley Twins. Her favorite TV show was Reading Rainbow. Her role model was Punky Brewster. Her lifelong dreams were to become a writer by the sea, fall desperately in love, and have her own set of twins.

As a grown-up, most of Lori’s dreams have already come true. She is a writer by the sea, and her memoir in verse titled, Vice Versa, will be published by Propertius Press. Lori has taught English and writing for almost 20 years. She spent years studying the healing magic of the expressive arts and recently graduated with her Ph.D. in Humanities from Salve Regina University.

She enjoys yoga, music, playing pool, swimming, golfing, and spending time with her gallant husband, who is her very own, real-life Prince Charming. She also loves going to the beach and shopping with her spunky twin boys, but she is a little disappointed that their golf game is already much better than hers 🙂
