Dr. Karen Petit is the author of six Christian books that all contain historic elements, dream/reality connections, suspenseful action, and pictures. Her first four books are novels: Banking on Dreams, Mayflower Dreams, Roger Williams in an Elevator, and Unhidden Pilgrims. Her fifth and sixth books are poetry: Holidays Amaze and
Amazing Holiday Paws. The diverse poems in these two books include maze poems, prayer poems, shaped poems, sonnets, narratives, and holiday content. Animal viewpoints and Washington, D.C. photos are also seen in Amazing Holiday Paws.
Petit received her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate degrees in English from the University of Rhode Island. She loves to write, in addition to helping others to write. She teaches English courses and is the Writing Center Coordinator at the Community College of Rhode Island.
