Every writer wanting to become an author must start someplace. My ultimate motivation was when I learned about NaNoRiMo from a friendly librarian. Connecting with that got me started and then the solitary confinement of COVID furthered the completion of that novel I knew I had in me.

Being a nobody in the world of authorship, after some initial frustrations I chose to self-publish with the assistance of Dorrance Publishing. My first novel (WHY?) is now in print and on-line.

As a late-in-life author, my adult years as a husband, father, health care services executive, educator and a diehard Buffalo Bills fan has equipped me with life experiences from which I imagined my first work.

Living in Bristol, Rhode Island now and for nearly twenty years has certainly fostered an environment for creative thinking with its wonderful library and notable history.
